Urban apartment living means I don't get to play in a wood shop very often—if I did, I'd probably spend a lot more time designing and building furniture. This project was a fun one, with free rein to create a coffee table of my design. Here are a few of my ideation sketches, as well as some pictures of the final table that I built using poplar, aluminum, and bird's-eye maple.
